This service is established for those who want to test their DNA against someone elses' AND who want to obtain results that will be accepted in a court of law. Whether you have a legal pending case now or in the future, we have the means and measures in place to comply with the court's requirements.
(Note: these results will be accompanied by a chain-of-custody, therefore results are admissible in court. For clients seeking testing only for self-knowledge, please go to our Personal Testing page on our site for details.)
To submit results in a court of law, all participants must allow us to photograph, thumb print and collect their DNA in addition to providing us a form of identification. If someone in your DNA test study is not willing to participate in the DNA test, then it is strongly suggested that you file a court order to get them to do so. Seek legal advise (free information is usually obtained by contacting an Attorney practicing Family Law from your local Yellow Pages), or by calling your local municipality for information on how to file the court order.
After all parties agree to participate in a Legal Test, we will schedule DNA collection appointments for each person. They can be held at the same location, day and time, or we can do them separately.
Atlanta DNA Center, Inc. has networked themselves all over the country. We will locate the nearest DNA collection facility to where you live and schedule your appointment on the day and time best for your schedule.
We are proud to work with the nation's #1 lab and are pleased to inform you that the lab processing your tests holds the highest accreditations such as:

What to expect at the appointments?
- We will take a photograph and thumb print of each person.
- We will photocopy 1 form of identification from each person. Acceptable ID's are: driver's license, birth certificate, social security card, student school ID, military ID, etc.
- We will collect the DNA from each person. Usually from inside the mouth (a cheek cell collection). This collection process only takes minutes and is painless! If, however, the participants prefer a blood collection, we will draw blood.
- We will complete the necessary paperwork in front of the clients.
- We will prepare the package of collected contents in front of the clients ready for express mailing to the lab for testing.
Why do we do this?
- To provide our clients the piece of mind during this process. But, most importantly, so that all participants are witness to the handling and the preparation process of all materials being sent to the lab for testing.
What do you need to bring to the appointment?
All necessary materials will be shipped to the collection facility prior to your scheduled appointment. You pay nothing at the collection appointments. We take care of everything for you.
